In 1974 Kärcher began concentrating on high-pressure cleaning after a previous phase of diversification. During this phase the colour of the machines was changed from blue to the world-famous Kärcher yellow. In 1980 the company expanded its product line to include general cleaning products. Karcher provides a wide variety of electric pressure washers, ranging from the 1400 psi K 2.050 model to the great 2000 psi of the K 5.540, K 5.68 M, K 5.690 and the K 5.740 models. Majority of the models come with the Vario Power Spray wands, one-year limited warranty, and others offer extra features, such as an on-board hose reel, detergent injector or tank, and a bayonet trigger wand with child-safety lock. Their consumer gas-powered pressure washers all provide an impressive 2600 psi, and all come with their commercial-grade trigger gun with child-safety lock, a 25-foot high-pressure hose (most with quick-connect couplings), and an integrated hose, trigger gun and spray wand holder.
